Apply for an UK aerodrome certificate
Guidance for aerodrome operators applying for an aerodrome certificate issued under UK (EU) 139/2014.

Aerodromes that are in scope of the aerodrome regulation, will be required to follow this process
How much does it cost?

How long will it take for my application to be processed?
The certification process will take a minimum of 60 days from the date on which the required documentation and appropriate fees are submitted to the CAA.

It is important that applicants submit the required documentation in a timely manner to allow for detailed consideration of the application and for inspection of the proposed aerodrome site.
The CAA is unable to guarantee that certification decisions will be made within any specified timeframe or in alignment with the applicant’s commercial deadlines.
How long is it valid for?
An aerodrome certificate will be issued without an expiry date. The certificate will remain in force until it is varied, suspended or revoked.
What else do I need to know?
In order for an aerodrome certificate to be issued, a survey carried out in accordance with CAP 1732 will need to be completed.
