UK Civil Aviation Regulations

These are published by the CAA on our UK Regulations pages. EU Regulations and EASA Access Guides published by EASA no longer apply in the UK. Our website and publications are being reviewed to update all references. The Skyway Code can be viewed online or downloaded for later use. The latest version will always be available here:

Latest updates

Key updates in Version 4 (November 2023) of The Skyway Code includes:

  • Improved presentation and readability
  • Key retained EU law for aviation
  • Links to the Aviation Regulatory Library
  • Links to new and revised Safety Sense Leaflets
  • Updates to aeronautical information, including UK Flight Information Service (FIS) frequencies and Frequency Monitoring Codes
  • Use of the VHF Low Level Frequency
  • Updated operational guidance, including fuel management and crossing controlled airspace
  • Revised ‘Safer Flying’ chapter, including threat and error management and decision making
