ATOL renewal fees
Information for travel companies.
All ATOL holders can potentially benefit from reduced renewal application fees and further details can be found by expanding the area below relevant to the licence type you are applying to renew as.
There are other charges (including but not limited to variable passenger fees for Standard and Large Franchise ATOL holders) that can be applicable when applying for ATOL renewal and these are set out in full in the CAA Scheme of Charges (Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing).
- If you submit a Small Franchise ATOL renewal application on 1 August 2026 or earlier the renewal application fee would be £630.
- If you submit a Small Franchise ATOL renewal application after 1 August 2026 but by 31 August 2026 the renewal application fee would be £750.
- If you submit a Small Franchise ATOL renewal application on or after 1 September 2026 the renewal fee payable would be £869.
To qualify for the relevant fee reduction, you would have to submit your online renewal application, including any mandatory document uploads required (can include cv, utility bill and certified copy of passport for any new directors/shareholders), by the relevant date as detailed above and this includes receipt of the relevant application fee.
Entering into arrangements to pay fees by direct debit means that the relevant application fee due will be collected by direct debit after application submission has been made but payment will be viewed as having been made as at the date the renewal application was submitted. If the fee is subsequently not successfully collected by direct debit then higher changes may be payable.
If you do not currently maintain a direct debit for CAA ATOL charges the form can be accessed at the foot of this page. The completed form can be emailed to atol.online@caa.co.uk
- If you submit a complete Large Franchise ATOL renewal application on 1 August 2026 or earlier the renewal application fee would be £1,373.
- If you submit a complete Large Franchise ATOL renewal application after 1 August 2026 but by 31 August 2026 the renewal application fee would be £1,931.
- If you submit a complete Large Franchise ATOL renewal application on or after 1 September 2026 the renewal fee payable would be £2,240.
A complete application consists of:

- a copy of the most recent financial statements of the applicant business (required as a mandatory upload in the application form);
