The UK Civil Aviation Authority is pleased to confirm the appointment of Chris Tingle as chief operating officer (COO).
The newly created role will see Chris lead the CAA's finance, corporate and other services including overseeing the CAA's process-based functions such as pilot licensing. He joins the regulator, having previously performed senior roles at high profile organisations such as Procter and Gamble and DB Schenker Rail UK.
Andrew Haines, Chief Executive of the CAA, said:
“We are delighted to welcome Chris to the CAA. He has a wealth of relevant experience, having worked in a number of roles with exposure to safety, consumer experience and economic regulation - all issues that are key to our work. I believe he will be a great asset to the CAA and we are all looking forward to him starting this new role.”

Chris Tingle will start his role at the CAA in February 2016.
