A discussion was raised regarding the potential use of 978MHz for electronic conspicuity
systems.

The group set the scene for the sector and highlighted the new and existing
challenges it was facing, including the macro landscape of Covid and the EU-exit
which could bring opportunities for the General and Business Aviation
communities, and the more specific issues affecting the community, such as new
technologies, electronic conspicuity and pilot training.

changes needed to deliver airspace modernisation in the UK, integrate new users such as commercial
drones, and enable increased airspace sharing among all users while providing significant safety
