The UK Civil Aviation Authority is pleased to announce the appointment of Selina Chadha as the new Group Director for Consumers & Markets. With a career spanning over 25 years in consumer and competition regulation, Selina brings a wealth of regulatory experience to the role.

Prior to joining the UK Civil Aviation Authority, Selina served in various senior positions at Ofcom (the communications regulator), most recently as Director of Policy (Competition and Consumer). Her time at Ofcom was marked by strategic leadership, and a strong commitment to promoting investment and competition and protecting consumers in the communications sector.

In her new role at the UK Civil Aviation Authority, Selina will lead the Consumers & Markets Group, overseeing the Civil Aviation Authority’s economic regulation, competition, consumer protection, consumer enforcement activity and the ATOL financial protection scheme.

Her extensive background in regulation and her proven track record of delivering for consumers make her an invaluable addition to the Civil Aviation Authority Board and Executive Leadership Team.

Commenting on her appointment, Selina said:

Selina will take up her new role on 27 August 2024.
