Current price control G7 extension (April 2025 to March 2029)

Information relating to the extension of Gatwick price control G7.

Gatwick Airport Limited (GAL) submitted a proposal to extend the set of commitments, which were due to expire on 31 March 2025, for a further four years.  In May 2025, we decided to accept GAL’s commitments

This document sets out our final decision to accept GAL’s proposed new commitments for the four-year period from 2025/26 to 2028/29.

This document  provides our Final Proposals on these matters and responds to the issues raised by stakeholders following our August 2024 Consultation, including in relation to:

  • GAL’s prices and profitability;
  • uncertainty around capacity expansion;
  • service quality targets; and
  • the scope and timing of a future review of the commitments framework.

We have also published a consultancy report from Grant Thornton (GT) alongside our document.

We are consulting on these issues for a period of 6 weeks until 20 September. We expect to set out our decision on the way forward for the economic regulation of GAL in the autumn of 2024.
