Safety Emphasis Items (SEI)
Use of SEIs by CAA for validation projects.
Along with other criteria that determine the threshold for a Technical Validation, Safety Emphasis Items (SEI) define further areas of Validating Authority (VA) interest during validation projects.
CAA uses SEIs in the CAA validation of foreign authority design approvals in accordance with the Implementation Procedures established with that authority.
Where the use of SEIs is prescribed in the respective Implementation Procedures the following SEI Lists apply:
Temporary Amendments to the SEI Lists provide complementary or superseding information and should be read in conjunction with the respective SEI List.
