Applications for BCAR A8-23, A8-24 and A8-25 approvals

Following publication of CAP553 issue 8, on 29 November 2013, BCAR A8-23, A8-24 and A8-25 approvals have been revised to include Non-Part 21 aircraft operating on UK national Permits to Fly as well as UK national Certificates of Airworthiness. Below is a list of aircraft type and group ratings that are eligible to be listed on these approval certificates.
For Part 21 aircraft types being operated for State purposes on UK national Certificates of Airworthiness, reference should be made to the UK Part 66 Appendix 1 aircraft listing.
Groups
Aeroplane single piston engine – metal structure not exceeding 5700 Kg MTOM
Aeroplane single piston engine – composite structure not exceeding 5700 Kg MTOM
Aeroplane single piston engine – wooden structure not exceeding 5700 Kg MTOM
Aeroplane single turbine engine – not exceeding 5700 Kg MTOM
Helicopter single piston engine – not exceeding 3175 Kg MTOM
Helicopter single turbine engine – not exceeding 3175 Kg MTOM
