Apply for an initial CASA approval
Information about the UK Australia TA-M.
A Working Arrangement between UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia (CASA) was signed on 15 June 2026.
UK CAA approved Part 145 maintenance organisations may hold an approved CASA Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) Supplement carry out maintenance on Australian aircraft.
The Working Arrangement means that UK CAA will undertake the oversight of organisations that hold UK Part 145 approval and the CASA MOE Supplement, who perform the maintenance of Australia registered aircraft. This means that the UK CAA will undertake the oversight of those organisations where the main base is in the UK.
Pre-requisites
To be eligible to hold this approval, organisations must be based in the UK and hold a valid UK Part 145 approval with an appropriate rating (A).
Complete and submit the online application form.
Approvals are subject to an initial fee detailed in the Official Record Series 5, CAA Scheme of Charges (Airworthiness). The fee is dependent on several factors, including the rating(s) being applied for.
Payments can be made by credit or debit card or by bank transfer or by a cheque made payable to the Civil Aviation Authority.

- The relevant fee
- Supplement to the Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)

The application will be processed and forwarded to the allocated surveyor for review within 10 working days.
Your application will be reviewed and logged. The application and Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) Supplement will be forwarded to the allocated surveyor for review.
The allocated surveyor will issue a Supplement approval letter stating the scope of approval and any limitations.
UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will update their website showing Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) approvals.
Once granted, a Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) Supplement is non-expiring unless suspended, cancelled or revoked.
Applicants should be aware that the CASA may request suspension of the approval at any time if the conditions of approval are not met.
