By application of Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 as retained (and amended in UK
domestic law) under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 (“UK (EU) Reg No
1178/2011”) Annex I Part FCL.025(b)(2), states that an applicant has successfully
completed the required theoretical knowledge examination if they have passed all the
required theoretical examination papers within a period of 18 months counted from the
end of the month when the applicant first attempted an examination.
