Confirmation of Validity of a Licence
and Medical Documents Issued by the
United Kingdom
The United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority hereby confirms that any Licence Document or Certificate that it
has issued under Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 prior to 1 January 2021, stating the United Kingdom
as the issuing authority, remains in force and valid as an ICAO pilot licence or certificate under paragraph 37 of
Part 3 of Schedule 8 to the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.

5) In this permission, references to EU regulations are to those regulations as retained and amended
in UK domestic law under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 and are referenced
hereafter as “UK Regulation (EU) year/number” or “UK Regulation (EU) No. number/year”.
6) The Air Navigation Order 2016 (as amended) is referred to as the “Order”.

1178/2011 as retained (and amended in UK domestic law)
under the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018
ORA.FSTD.110 Modifications
In compliance with (UK) ORA.FSTD.110 Modifications, this form shall be used by Flight Simulation Training Device
operators to inform the CAA in advance of modifications of the FSTD hardware and software that affect:
a) handling of the simulated aircraft,
b) performance of the simulated aircraft,
c) systems operation of the simulated aircraft,
d) any major modifications of the motion,
e) any major modifications of simulated flight controls,
f) any major modifications of the visual system (either display or image generation).
