The reissue of this exemption for those licence holders whose licence was issued prior to 1 February 2008, to enable them to revalidate their microlight and motorglider class ratings in accordance with the previous revalidation requirements.
The CAA is considering within the GA Pilot Licensing and Training Simplification review whether to renew this exemption after 30 September 2025, and at this time there is a possibility that the CAA will be consulting on its withdrawal. Licence holders are therefore advised that this may be the last time this exemption is available.
