This document applies to any aircraft with a valid UK national Permit to Fly, other than ex-military aircraft. The aircraft must be jointly owned and the person under instruction or being tested must be one of the joint owners. The person undergoing instruction or testing must hold an appropriate licence to act as pilot in command of the flight save that their licence does not include a valid certificate of test, experience or revalidation. The purpose of the flight must be to enable that person to obtain such a valid certificate of test, experience or revalidation.
