The purpose of this Information Notice is to withdraw the ‘Grandfather provisions’ for design changes to European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Equipment, Parts and Appliances as advised by the CAA in its letter of 27 June 2005 as a result of changes in the regulatory basis for approval of organisations and equipment, parts and appliances – specifically the signing of the Bilateral Agreements between the EU and the US.
