These are published by the CAA on our UK Regulations pages. EU Regulations and EASA Access Guides published by EASA no longer apply in the UK. This document reports on the experimental work performed in support of the development of a technical standard for helicopter emergency breathing systems (EBS), and also contains the resulting technical standard. The work follows on from the review of EBS implementation and use reported in CAA Paper 2003/13, and is being presented to the EASA helicopter ditching Rule Making Task RMT.0120(27&29.008). The technical specification is offered for use by the industry where EBS is deployed on a voluntary basis, and will be promoted to EASA for use as the basis of a formal specification, i.e. a European Technical Standard Order (ETSO).
