There is currently no legal requirement for industry to develop a Security Management System.

The entities listed on this page are working with the UK Civil Aviation Authority in managing their aviation security performance and this sits alongside our currently compliance oversight regime.

This does not mean that other organisations do not implement their own form of Security Management System or that we have any lack in confidence in their security performance.
