It is recommended that Pakistan International Airline Corporation review the training given to their cabin crews with the
intention of ensuring that, in the event of an evacuation command being given by the aircraft commander, the evacuation
is carried out as expeditiously as possible, irrespective of the lack of any threat to the aircraft perceived by the cabin
crew.

1 Introduction
1.1 Under EU-OPS, JAR-OPS 3 and the Air Navigation Order (ANO), persons carried on board an aircraft
fall into only one of two categories; crew consisting of flight or cabin crew members, or passengers.
1.2 Some aircraft certificated for single-pilot operation are fitted with a second pilot's seat.

Upper Torso Restraint for Crew Seats - Robinson R44 and R22 Helicopters
Background
1) In 2015, the UK was permitted by the European Commission to grant approvals derogating
from CAT.IDE.H.205(b)(2) of Annex IV to Commission Regulation (EU) No. 965/2012 to
allow commercial air transport (CAT) operators to continue to operate Robinson R22 and
R44 helicopters with a restraint system on the flight crew seats having a seat belt and a
diagonal shoulder strap.

which may interfere with the results of the confirmation test.

An
oral briefing by cabin staff, or a briefing using
automatic audio/visual means, or a briefing by
reference to a briefing card, must be
immediately qualified by an oral announcement
to draw the attention of passengers to the fact
that a particular exit is inoperative and displays
a red "NO EXIT" disc,
i) Where the evacuation drill calls for cabin crew
to be seated by the inoperative exit, they are
briefed to direct passengers to a serviceable
exit, and
j) Not more than 72 hours have elapsed since the
exit became inoperative, and
k) The aircraft does not exceed 5 (five) further
flights with the exit inoperative.
