The aviation regulator’s Airport Accessibility Report, which assesses 26 of the largest UK airports, details airports efforts in providing disabled and less mobile passengers the standard of service to which they are entitled.

This publication describes a review that was undertaken by the Environmental Research and Consultancy Department (ERCD) of the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on changes in the numbers of aircraft movements, aircraft fleet mix and noise quota usage at Gatwick, Heathrow and Stansted airports between 1 January 2019 and 31 December 2022.The study was initially commissioned by the Department for Transport (DfT) to understand the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on aircraft operations and the possible knock-on effect on noise around the airports.

UK’s aviation regulator publishes annual report ranking special assistance service offered by UK’s biggest airports to passengers with disabilities or reduced mobility.
Signs of improvement as 14 airports rated as offering a ‘Good’ service and 11 as being ‘Very Good’ and for the second year running no airport was ‘Poor.’
