1 REVOCATION
1.1 The Scheme of Charges (The Economic Regulation of Airports) published by the CAA on
30 January 2012 is hereby revoked.
1.2 Section 16(1) of the Interpretation Act 1978 (which relates to the effect of repeals) shall
apply to this Scheme as if this Scheme were an Act of Parliament and as if the Scheme
of 30 January 2012 revoked by sub-paragraph 1.1 above was an Act of Parliament
thereby repealed.
2 CHARGES
2.1 The operator of an airport in the United Kingdom shall, on the last day of each month,
pay a charge to the CAA of:
a) in the case of an airport which in accordance with section 40(1) of the Airports Act
1986 a designation by the Secretary of State or in respect of which in accordance
with article 31(1) of the Airports (Northern Ireland) Order 1994 a designation by the
Department of the Environment, was in force on 31 March 2013, 4.75 pence for
each arriving passenger at the airport during that month; or
b) in the case of an airport, other
