Whilst we welcome many of the proposals,
including on providing the CAA with civil enforcement powers, mandating Alternative Dispute
Resolution in aviation and improving the ability for passengers with reduced mobility to
obtain compensation for lost or damaged equipment, we raised concerns about the
proposed changes to compensation levels, which could leave delayed passengers on
domestic flights significantly worse off than those on international flights.

2.1 The widely-reported flight disruptions in the early part of the summer 2022 season caused
challenges for many consumers including late cancellations and difficulties experienced
by some passengers with reduced mobility.
