To achieve Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) operations in non-segregated airspace the policy and guidance for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS), CAP722, outlines the need for a technical capability at least as good as ‘see and avoid’ – a Detect & Avoid capability.
The purpose of this guide is to build on the concept of a Detect & Avoid Ecosystem, and to provide a framework to support the development and eventual approval of a proposed DAA solution.
This publication annexes CAP1861 BVLOS in Non-Segregated Airspace – Fundamentals and Terminology.
