We consulted on a proposed policy position for the recognition and implementation of Atypical Air Environments (AAEs). The consultation, which closed on 2 April 2024, set out a proposed AAE policy concept to help enable Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) operators to conduct specific beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations.
