Standards for UK medical certification
Implementing rules, acceptable means of compliance and guidance material by medical system.
The standards for different classes of medical certification are set out in the implementing rules (IRs), acceptable means of compliance (AMCs) and guidance material for each medical system.
Any general or specific queries regarding aeromedical fitness should be directed to an aeromedical examiner (AME) or aeromedical centre (AeMC). Changes to your aeromedical fitness status should ideally be notified to, and discussed with, the doctor who conducted your last aeromedical examination or assessment.
