Exemption from the requirement of Commission Regulation (EC) 1178/2011, Annex IV, Subpart B, MED.B.001(d)1(i), that only holders of a CPL, MPL or ATPL may be issued with a Part-MED Class 1 medical with OML endorsement

This exemption has been issued so that pilots who are unable to obtain a Class 1 medical without an Operational Multi-pilot Limitation endorsement may be treated in the same way as those who are able to do so, for the purposes of training for initial issue of a commercial pilot licence.
