Exemption from the Class and Type Rating Renewal Requirements of Part-FCL for Holders of UK CAA Issued Licences who hold Third Country Licences with Equivalent Class and Type Ratings

EASA has recommended to the European Commission that it accept a derogation from the requirements of Part-FCL (Annex 1 to the Aircrew Regulation) modifying Class and Type Rating renewal requirements for licence holders who also hold equivalent ratings in pilot licences issued by third countries. This exemption is issued to permit affected pilots to take advantage of the modified requirements pending formal adoption of the derogation by the Commission
