Managing Noise from Emerging Aviation Technology

This CAP examines how noise from drones and electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft could be assessed and managed as these technologies develop in the UK. It reviews the existing policy and regulatory framework, identifies areas requiring further development, and sets out proportionate options for noise management, stakeholder engagement and governance. It also identifies early priorities for developing a transitional national drone noise policy that can evolve as operational experience and the evidence base develop.
