Aircraft Noise, Tranquillity and Soundscape Research

The report is an update to ERCD report 1207, with a direct focus on aircraft noise and potential impacts on tranquillity. The use of soundscape research is explored in the context of aircraft noise effects, and the report includes research findings that have been published since 2012, including conference material, and academic papers, PhD theses, and book chapters. It is the aim of the report to provide an overview of the impacts of aircraft noise, tranquillity and green spaces and soundscape research to date.
