Review of noise measurements from UAS and AAM aircraft

This report provides a review of recently published research papers and reports on outdoor noise emissions of selected UAS and AAM aircraft, with a focus on the measurement and quantification of noise in terms of conventional A-weighted noise metrics.

The report serves as an update to CAP2506 with the aim of further understanding noise from emerging technology aircraft. A summary of available overflight data covered in this review and in CAP 2506 is also provided, with a focus on overall LASmax sound pressure levels.
