CAA5018 – Instructor Training Course Completion Certificate

Instructor Training Course Completion Certificate CAA5018 covers various instructing privileges. You are only required to complete and print off the pages relevant to your application.

Accepted document upload formats

The required documents can be uploaded in any of the following file formats:

  • Word document
  • PDF
  • Image file (jpg, png, tiff)
  • ZIP file (.zip)

The maximum file size per document uploaded is 5MB, with the exception of logbooks which can be up to 25MB.

Where multiple pages of documents are required to be uploaded together, they must be uploaded in one file.  You can do this by scanning all of the pages into one PDF document. You can also get applications on your smart phone/device that allow you to combine multiples images into one file. Alternatively, you can move all of the documents into a ZIP folder, and upload the ZIP file.

Accepted date formats

When filling in the online application, you will be required to enter dates, such as the date of your Assessment of Competence. You can use the date picker tool or you can type the date in manually. When typing the date, please note that the accepted date format is dd/mm/yyyy (for example, 01/09/2022).

Navigating the online form

When completing the online form, do not use your internet browser back button, as it will restart the form and lose any unsaved data. Instead, please use the "Continue" and "Back" buttons at the bottom of the form.

Saving an online application

You can save your online application part way through and come back to it later. Your draft application will be saved for 30 days.

To save your application, click on the save icon along the top bar of the application window.

You will be asked to create a 6-digit PIN number to save the form. The PIN will be required when you want to retrieve your partly completed form.

You will then be asked to enter your email address, so an email with a link can be sent to you.

When you are ready to continue with your application, click on the link in the email you received. You will need to enter the reference code from the email and the PIN you created. This will open your part-completed application form. The form will open on the first page but all of the information you entered will be there. To continue where you left off, you can skip along to the relevant section by clicking on the headers at the top of the form.
