The Process for Changing the Notified Airspace Design

This publication explains the airspace change process for making a permanent change to the notified airspace design. Edition 5 revised and effective from 2 January 2024.

CAP 1616 version 5.1 published September 2025 is the current edition. It contains administrative updates to correct typographical errors and clarify wording with no changes to technical content.

  • CAP1616 a to e have been withdrawn.
