UK Civil Aviation Regulations

These are published by the CAA on our UK Regulations pages. EU Regulations and EASA Access Guides published by EASA no longer apply in the UK. Our website and publications are being reviewed to update all references. Any references to EU law and EASA Access guides should be disregarded and where applicable the equivalent UK versions referred to instead.

This is the CAA’s internally targeted checklist and supporting guidance to be used when conducting the initial screen of an Assessment of Environmental Effects (AEE) submitted by launch operator or spaceport licence applicants under the Space Industry Act 2018.

It describes the framework within which the CAA will consider whether; the minimum information has been provided and the AEE is appropriate for public consultation. The AEE will not pass the full assessment until those tests have been met.

Please note, this is not guidance to applicants on how to write an AEE.
