The second edition of CAP 659 is aimed at anyone who has an interest in amateur constructed aircraft. It is the answer to the Frequently Asked Question: “I want to design/build/import/operate an amateur constructed aircraft. What must I do before I can legally fly it?”

The CAP therefore describes, under one cover and in a logical step by step approach, all of the CAA’s policies and procedures appropriate to the award of a Permit to Fly for an amateur constructed aircraft.
