This publication will no longer be amended. At final issue CAP 457 lists UK CAA approved aerial positions. Approval of aerial positions identified in this publication remain available for UK registered aircraft as applicable to the individual types. For positions and aerial combinations not already covered by CAP 457, these will require EASA approval for those aircraft subject to EC Regulations. In such cases EASA should be contacted in the first instance.

For the approval of positions and aerial combinations for aircraft identified in CAP 747 as EU Regulation 216/2008 Annex II aircraft, these will continue to be the responsibility of the UK CAA and approval should be sought via the national process. In such cases your local Regional Offices should be contacted in the first instance.
