More than any other issue, aviation noise has been a blocker to expand airport capacity in the south east of England over the past fifty years. This document sets out the strategies industry can take to reduce and mitigate noise, the tactics to engage industry in the effort, and the steps likely to be necessary beyond that to engage local communities in airport expansion.
