The Aircrew Regulation (Commission Regulation (EU) No 1178/2011 (as amended)) laying down the European rules for aircrew licensing came into force on 8 April 2012. The United Kingdom, pursuant to article 12(7) of the Regulation, has provided the Commission with an updated notification of the derogations that it intends to apply within the territory of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and of the related implementation programme for the period 8 April 2014 to 8 April 2015. This notification updates and supersedes that published in ORS4 No 929 which is withdrawn. In particular, the derogation from applying the provisions of the Regulation to 3rd country licence holders involved in non-commercial flights is extended to 8 April 2015 as permitted by Commission Regulation (EU) No. 245/2014. The previously notified derogations that were available only up to 8 April 2014 are now omitted from this revised notification as not being relevant from 8 April 2014 onwards.
