As National Apprenticeship Week 2021 gets underway, we at the UK Civil Aviation Authority are proud to announce that we have appointed our 80th apprentice.

The theme for this year's week is 'build the future', a campaign aimed at encouraging employers to celebrate the diversity of opportunity and value that apprenticeships bring, and how they can help individuals and employers build their future.

We are proud to play our full part in supporting this mission. Our apprenticeship offerings over the last two years have been focussed on building our capabilities for the future across regulation, data, professional support services and leadership. Our next apprenticeship programme launch will be looking to recruit level 4 regulatory compliance officers; growing talent within our regulatory capabilities.

Apprentices play a vital role in growing our organisational capability. We have marked this week by saying thank you to all our apprentices, congratulating them on their hard work and commitment to learning. Our colleagues' ongoing work to develop their skills, knowledge and behaviour is a great example of the CAA's values - Do The Right Thing, Respect Everyone, Build Collaborative Relationships and Never Stop Learning.
