UK Civil Aviation Authority publish The Paramotor Code
Michael MacDonald, Co-Head of General Aviation and RPAS Unit at the UK Civil Aviation Authority, said: “Although flying a paramotor or powered hang glider does not require a pilot licence or any form of airworthiness certification, pilots must comply with rules of the air such as keeping above the minimum heights/distances from people and property, taking off/landing well clear of congested areas and not operating in controlled airspace.

ORS4 No.1279: Small Unmanned Aircraft with a Mass Greater than 7kg – Operations above 400ft within Controlled Airspace and/or Aerodrome Traffic Zones
It reinstates the ability for an air traffic control unit, having already permitted a flight of a small UAS (mass greater than 7kg) within the controlled airspace or the aerodrome traffic zone that it is responsible for, to permit that small unmanned aircraft to fly in excess of 400 feet above the surface within that same airspace.

SD-2023/001: Grounding of all Freefly Astro Aircraft
