ORS4 No.1346: Flight Data Recorders and Cockpit Voice Recorders – Police Helicopters

General Exemption from Article 119 and paragraph 4(13)(c)(i) of Schedule 6, part 1, of the Air Navigation Order 2016, regarding the need for helicopters, operated under and in accordance with a Police Air Operator’s Certificate, with MTOM between 2,730 kg and 3,175 kg with an individual Certificate of Airworthiness first issued before 01 January 2019 to carry flight data recorders and cockpit voice recorders. This exemption will expire on 31 July 2021 by when such helicopters will be required to be fitted with the necessary equipment. This exemption replaces ORS 4 No. 1267 and further extends compliance dates in line with Safety Directive 2020/001
