The Civil Aviation Authority is publishing its academic research project “Hydrogen impacts on materials and design: Assessment of material qualification subject to hydrogen combustion environments”. This project addresses questions on “How to qualify new materials for safe H2 aviation?” through the delivery of highly novel and unique scientific evidence of the main material changes when alloys are exposed to a Hydrogen flame.
