Engagement regarding the Flexible Use of CTA8 – Sponsor updates

Letters regarding Flexible Use of CTA8 – CAA and HIAL

Following the publication of a redacted version of the Sponsor's final proposal, any stakeholder may submit a 'call-in' requesting that the final decision about changes to the design of UK airspace is made by the Secretary of State for Transport rather than the CAA.

Stakeholders can review the airport's proposal to assess whether or not it meets any of the call-in criteria. The 'call in' for Inverness Airport’s Airspace Change Proposal is open until 9 April 2021. Details on the process and how to submit a request.

10 Mar 2021

The CAA has received a request for the final decision on this airspace change proposal to be called in by the General Aviation Alliance. After the call-in window closes, the CAA has a period of 3 weeks to determine whether the call-in criteria have been met and to prepare/submit its assessment to the Department for Transport.

Addendum to ACP 7 March 2022

Following a request for Inverness Airport to provide additional information to the CAA as part of the ACPs regulatory assessment, the Sponsor has provided an addendum. As a result of this, stakeholders have the opportunity to provide feedback on this new information until 4 Apr 2022.
