UK Civil Aviation Regulations

These are published by the CAA on our UK Regulations pages. EU Regulations and EASA Access Guides published by EASA no longer apply in the UK. Our website and publications are being reviewed to update all references. Any references to EU law and EASA Access guides should be disregarded and where applicable the equivalent UK versions referred to instead.

The State Safety Board is presented with a dashboard based on the state safety objectives. The dashboard uses a traffic light system underpinned by a series of safety performance indicators (SPIs). This enables a dynamic approach to review and analyse the available data.

SPIs are based on the state safety objectives and focus on occurrences (quantitative) and contributing factors (qualitative). The SPIs are based on the available safety data including the sources detailed in the SSP inputs section. The SPIs are monitored and reviewed by the CAA safety analysis team to ensure they remain appropriate.
