• Sponsor: DSA

The DSA proposal aims to replace existing conventional Standard Instrument Departures (SIDs) with RNAV-1 compliant procedures. This will mitigate the removal of the GAM DVOR on which the current conventional SIDs are based and comply with the UK Future Airspace Strategy. Additionally, DSA will at the same propose the introduction of RNAV-1 Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs) on each runway for the final approach track only.

Following the publication of a redacted version of the Sponsor's final proposal, any stakeholder may submit a 'call in' requesting that the final decision about changes to the design of UK airspace is made by the Secretary of State for Transport rather than the CAA. Stakeholders can review the airport's proposal to assess whether or not it meets any of the call-in criteria. The 'call in' for Doncaster Sheffield’s Airport’s Airspace Change Proposal is open until 26 October 2018. Details on the process and how to submit a request can be found here.
