The Couture Travel Company Ltd - ATOL 9315 has ceased trading on 31st March 2017.

The company, based in Berkshire traded as Couture Travel Company and under the websites and

If you booked a package directly with The Couture Travel Company Ltd and were issued with an ATOL Certificate and confirmation which states 'Package sale', and you hold scheduled tickets the flight may be valid, passengers are advised to check with the Airline, if the airline confirms you have a valid ticket for travel you have two options.

Option 1

If you do not wish to use your flight you can make a claim for a refund for the amount you paid to The Couture Travel Company Ltd for your ATOL Protected package (depending upon your original method of payment).  Also for passengers with non- valid flights.

Option 2

You can use your flight and if required make a claim for the cost of replacing the other elements included in your original package. i.e. your accommodation, transfers, tours or car hire (subject to how you originally paid). However there is a limit to the amount you can claim. Receipts will be required.  For details of your claim entitlements go to ATT Payment Policy. 

The other services have not been paid to local suppliers and you will be required to re-arrange and pay for these services again.   To avoid any issues in resort, consumers still wishing to travel should confirm all the elements of their booking and agree the price for these in advance of travel. 

Consumers who decide to travel and did not use a credit card to pay The Couture Travel Company Ltd can make a claim under ATOL for the costs they incur in replacing the pre-booked elements of their holiday.  The replacement items must either match their original booking or be of exactly the same standard, board basis, room type, tour etc, as their original.  The consumer's claim in any event cannot exceed the cost of their entire holiday (including flights).

Payments by credit card to The Couture Travel Company Ltd

If you paid for your original trip either partially or fully by credit card to The Couture Travel Company Ltd your claim will be with the credit card provider for the portion you paid by credit card and the CAA for payments by other methods.  If you are claiming under Option 2 you should check with your credit card provider prior to travelling to establish what you may be entitled to claim from them. You will only be entitled to claim for any replacement costs from the CAA up to the cost of your original trip less the amount originally paid by credit card. Please refer to the ATT Payment Policy (Paragraph 1.19.11) for full details. 

If you paid for your original trip by any other methods to The Couture Travel Company Ltd your claim will be with the CAA.
