The UK Directorate of Airspace Policy (DAP) has responded to the growing demands from the general aviation community for the return of the VFR Guide. This guide is mainly produced for pilots not familiar with UK airspace procedures, it has several sections which have been selected from the AIP, deemed pertinent to VFR flying.
The guide is amended in line with the AIRAC system, and has recently been reformatted and combined into a single .pdf file for ease of use.
Please send any suggestions for further improvement to vfrcharts@caa.co.uk

In addition, VFR Guide Supplements have been produced as an aid to primary VFR navigation. Each file contains a 1:250,000 scale map with useful topographical features included, such as roads, rivers and railways. The area of focus on each map is the controlled airspace, to which transparent coloured tints are applied to emphasize the boundaries. Included are aerial photographs, navaid information, VRP details, and links to relevant AIP sections & AICs. A link to these supplements is available in the left hand menu.
