Latest updates
Key updates in Version 4 (November 2023) of The Skyway Code includes:
- Improved presentation and readability
- Key retained EU law for aviation
- Links to the Aviation Regulatory Library
- Links to new and revised Safety Sense Leaflets
- Updates to aeronautical information, including UK Flight Information Service (FIS) frequencies and Frequency Monitoring Codes
- Use of the VHF Low Level Frequency
- Updated operational guidance, including fuel management and crossing controlled airspace
- Revised ‘Safer Flying’ chapter, including threat and error management and decision making

Correction to p100
At the bottom of page 100 (page 99 in the printed edition) there is a statement regarding the provision of Air/Ground Communication Service (AGCS):
“an AGCS operator is required to have a contentious view of the manoeuvring area”.
The statement should say:
“an AGCS operator is not required to have a continuous view of the manoeuvring area.”
