CNS/ATM Providers are subject to the Single European Sky Regulations and EASA related Regulations, which together include Certification, Designation and Interoperability. Generally, CNS/ATM Providers and Services are bundled within the Certification and Designation of ATC and AFIS Providers. However, if standalone CNS/ATM Providers exist, such as satellite based service providers, they are Certificated in their own right. For such standalone services, Designation does not apply. |
| | In accordance with EU (EASA related) legislation, in particular 1035/2011, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) are required to obtain a certificate and be designated in order to provide air navigation services. | | | | |
