The commonest device in use creates a magnetic field strength of only 0.007 Ampere/metre (A/m), which is well below the limit of 0.159 A/m. There is thus no problem carrying such a device on board the aircraft but it would be helpful, to facilitate transit through the various screening processes, to carry a letter confirming that the device is “necessary for the trip” from the GP or treating specialist. |
