Punctuality statistics are calculated for 10 UK Airports. The planned time of operation is obtained from the airport scheduling committees and merged in with the actual time of operation on the air transport movement records collected in UK Airport Statistics. Information is published each month which shows the average delays on scheduled and charter services at each of the airports both in total and at an individual route/airline level. The Authority issues quarterly press notices covering the trends in delays. In addition the Air Transport Users Council publishes league tables of charter airline performance during the summer seasons.
A general review of taxi times was undertaken during 2008 and, as a result, many taxi assumptions are revised with effect from January 2009. For details please see the notes on punctuality statistics below. For comparison purposes 2008 data have been re-calulated, these files are identified with the inclusion of "V2" in the file name.
Notes on these punctuality statistics are available.
