The CAA has determined that some aircraft types are required to meet Additional Requirements for Importation (ARIs) prior to the issue of a Certificate of Airworthiness (CofA).

• CAP 562, Leaflet  11-46 defines the acceptance standards for imported aircraft for which a UK CofA is sought.

• CAP 747, Generic Concession 1, Generic Concession 1 addresses the granting of a concession against the immediate effect of an Additional Requirement on operators wishing to apply for a UK CofA.

Applications for a concession in respect of an ARI are considered on an individual basis and should be directed to the Aircraft Certification Department.
